2nd mortgage secured loans are traditionally riskier than 1st mortgage secured loans due to the 1st mortgage secured loan having priority in collections and recouping funds should a borrower default. 2nd mortgage secured loans also traditionally offer a higher loan-to-value ratio to the borrower which can pose a greater risk to an investor then a 1st mortgage secured loan.

Returns are calculated as BBSW 30 as at the 10th of the month, or the following business day, plus a fixed of 3.6% for the Income Bond and 6.5% for the High Yield Bond.
