Charitable giving in action

Each year, Thinktank employees are invited to nominate a charity close to their hearts. For every loan we settle, $100 is donated to those chosen organisations—ensuring our team can give back in ways that carry personal meaning and lasting impact.

For Elsie Williams, that cause is Life’s Little Treasures.

In October 2020, Elsie’s twin daughters arrived far too soon and spent six long weeks in the Special Care Unit at The San. With COVID restrictions in full force, Elsie and her husband faced not only the fear and uncertainty of premature birth but also the heavy isolation of limited hospital access and reduced outside support.

One day, while sitting by her daughters’ side, a nurse handed Elsie a pamphlet for Life’s Little Treasures—the leading charity dedicated to families of premature and sick babies. Reading the stories of others who had walked the same path gave Elsie strength and comfort in one of her toughest chapters and reminded her she wasn’t alone. Lifes Little Treasures provided the resources to learn how she could bond with the girls, and what to expect upon bringing them home.

Today, those tiny fighters are thriving 5-year-olds with a nearly 2-year-old sister keeping them on their toes. Elsie’s gratitude has turned into action, as she continues to support Life’s Little Treasures.

This year, Thinktank is proud to join her in backing their incredible initiative, The Mighty Trek – Walk for Prems—a journey where an incubator will be pushed 900km from Sydney to Melbourne to raise awareness and funds.

About The Mighty Trek – Walk for Prems

Walk for Prems is a fundraising event organised by Lifes Little Treasures to raise awareness of the journey premature babies’ families endure. They will strive to push an incubator 900km in 20 locations from Sydney to Melbourne.

At 10.30am on Wednesday October 1st, Thinktank will be participating in the Walk for Prems at Gore Hill Oval. Elsie and her Thinktank colleagues will be pushing an incubator around the field to generate some km.

The following morning at 8.30 on Thursday October 2nd, Thinktank is hosting a Breakfast prior to pushing the incubator across Sydney Harbour Bridge.
