Role Overview

The Residential Business Development Manager (BDM) supports the Head of Residential in planning, leading and managing key aggregator partnerships in sales process to achieve Thinktank’s monthly loan volume, conversion and settlement targets. The Residential BDM will manage and deepen existing broker and aggregator relationships to educate and grow this portfolio in Thinktank’s white label products and services. The role will support and manage the Aggregators entire lending portfolio from opportunity through to settlement, retention and assist in referrals to Thinktanks commercial team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Proactively engage with new and existing accredited brokers to grow residential loan volumes in line with monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Maximise the visibility of Thinktank’s brand and products by actively and positively promoting the company at events including aggregator PD days, workshopping and education sessions, breakfast/lunch workshops and other meetings.
  • Undertake a regular key Aggregator and key broker visitation programs to ensure they are aware of Thinktank products, policies and procedures.
  • Workshop scenarios with aggregator sales teams and brokers to ensure that the proposed deal falls within Thinktank’s risk appetite and Lending criteria and meets our requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to support in implementation of sales, service, operational excellence, process and credit quality initiatives.

About You

  • 3–5+ years experience in Residential Lending, Business lending, ideally in a Business development broker or aggregator-facing role.
  • Proven experience working with mortgage brokers, aggregators, and third-party introducers.
  • Capable of influencing and educating brokers on products, processes, and value proposition.
  • Strong understanding of credit policies, residential deal structuring, and SME customer needs.
  • Demonstrated success in a KPI-driven environment, including meetings, deal volume, and revenue targets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication tailored to a broker audience.
